pars orbitalis
Orbital Plates are
the horizontal portions of the frontal. Its endocranial surfaces is undulating (bumpy), conforming to the interior surface of the frontal lobe. Its inferior surface is smoother and concave.
Frontal Sinuses are
generally anterior to the ethmoid notch, extend for a variable distance between outer and inner bone tables of the frontal and sometimes penetrate the orbital plates.
Personal identification in forensic cases has been accomplished by employing radiographs of this region. Distinctive patterns of these can be used for individuation.

dominate the ectocranial surface. These paired things mark the location of the original centers of ossification of this bone.
Supraorbital Margin
are the upper orbital edges. These are notched or pierced by the supraorbital notch or foramen
Supraorbital Foramina or Notches
are set along the medial half of the superior orbital rum. They transmit the supraorbital vessels and supraorbital nerve as they pass superiorly to the forehead region.

is a midline crest confluent with the anterior end of the sagittal sulcus. This gives attachment to the falx cerebri, a strong membrane between the two cerebral hemispheres of the brain
Sagittal SutureMetopic Sutureis a vertical suture between right and left frontal halves. Its persistence is variable, but only occasionally does it last into adulthood. Traces of it are observed most often in the glabellar region in adults.Zygomatic Processform the most lateral and anterior corners of the frontalEthmoid Notchis the gap separating the two orbital plates of the frontal. The articulating bone fills this notch in the cranium.
