Every Beta was asked to donate a dollar on Pater Knox Night to fund the chapter during the war. The year was 1917. Because of this, the chapter was saved during WWI
who went against orders and led a counter attack in Paris against the germans for 40 days thus saving Paris and it was the turning point of world war 1
