Presentism
Understanding and interpreting history or past events in what you believe or how society views and believes in it today
Racism
Judging other humans based on the color of their skin. This is also when one race thinks they are more important than any other race
Ethnocentrism
Believing that your group or a different group is more important than any other. This can also be with countries, cities, etc.
Orientalism
The West thinks they are more superior than any other, especially the East and they think they are dangerous and far different than them in a bad way
Sexism
This is thinking one sex is better than the other. In today's society, men typically think they are more important than women which is false.
Primary Sources
Being there or witnessing the historical event yourself. It could also be a written document of someone who witnessed the event or just lived during that time period. It is anything from that moment in history.
Secondary Sources
A source that is not from the time period or someone who witnessed. These are typically many years after the event happened and one good example is a textbook.
