It was ratified in 1969, Women could still vote because 3/4 of the state ratified it. However, they couldn't serve on juries.
US Presidents in the Progressive Era
Age back then to work was raised from 12 to 14, nowadays it is 16, They said children had to long of work hours, little pay and harsh working conditions
outlawing the making, selling, and purchasing of alcoholic beverages illegal. People who smuggled drink illegally where called moonshiners or bootleggers.

Mentally ill were originally put in jails with prisoners, they were then relocated to hospitals made specifically for them.
