American Federation of Television and Radio Artists: A union that regulates conditions, rates, and usage for radio and tv talent.
Person who is In charge of all activity, bookings, go-sees, composit production; basically your agent.
A creative individual who coordinates, hires, and directs TV or radio advertisements. This is the person who is the overall director of a particular campaign.

The person who arranges the selection of models or talent for the client to interview for the booking.

Also known as a "card" or "comp". A card featuring photographs and statistics used to promote a talent or model.
A sheet with photos of a model; usually small, used as proofs to select the image to be used.
A person working behind the scenes at a fashion show helping the models with their garments and accessories. This is also a way for new models to be informally introduced to runway clients.
Print work for a model commissioned directly by the a magazine. It can also refer to a style of photography, a model, a look, a style of make up.
An appointment to try on clothing for a fashion show. Not all clients require a fitting.
An interview with a client for general purposes only, not for a specific assignment.
A photograph of the head only, usually from the shoulders up.
A laser copy of a photograph or slide.
Line up sheet
A list of garments to be worn in specific order and arrangement for a fashion show.
A modeling assignment which occurs anywhere outside a photo studio.
A bag containing the mandatory items a model must take to all bookings.
Open to the public. Interview for a booking.
Also known as a book, a selection of a model's photographs and tear sheets.
Model's hourly or daily rate for a booking.
A contract signed when the model finishes a booking releasing the photos for usage.
Fee paid to the model for repeat usage of a commercial. Rates are usually governed by AFTRA and SAG.
Also known as catwalk; the stage where a fashion show takes place.
Screen Actors Guild; a union of TV and film proformers.
The person that organizes, clothes, accessories, etc.for a photographic booking or fashion show.
An actual print advertisement or editorial.
Photographs taken for the model to gain experience in front of the camera.
The models invoice submitted to the agency after the booking.
A booking contingent on weather conditions; phone the agency if weather is not good.
