Section 38-"In future no official shall place a man on trial upon his own unsupported statement, without producing credible witnesses to the truth of it"
Trial by jury. Amendment 6. "the accused shall enjoy the right to...have a compulsory process for obtaining a witness in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense"
Section 39- No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land"
Article 1 section 9 clause 2. also Amendment 4 and protection from search and seizure
Section 40- To no one will we sell, to no one deny or delay right or justice
Amendment 6- speedy and public trial
Section 28- Royal officers may not take material items without permission/just compensation.
Amendment 5- imminent domain
Section 24- Establishes a uniform justice system
Amendment 6- "In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial"
Section 55- King John's promise not to levy feudal taxes without the consent of "our common counsels of our kingdom".
Article 1 Section 8 Clause 1- "Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States."
