A situation when the largest group within a population makes up less than 50% of the overall population. By 2050 Whites, currently the majority of Americans, are expected to make up less than 50% of the total population making the United States a majority-minority country.

A policy of allowing immigrants to come to the United States if they already have family members legally living in the country. The policy is aimed at keeping families together.
