A property used to characterize materials in reactions that change their identity. EX: Flammability

A process in which one or more substances are changed into others. EX: Burning Wood
The smallest part of an Element EX: H, He, Li, Be (periodic table of elements)
The combination of 2 or more atoms EX: H2O
A substance made of two or more elements chemically combined in a specific ratio, or proportion. Ex. Water
One of the extremely small constituents of matter, as an atom or nucleus. EX: Electron, proton
Ionic Compound
Attractions between two oppositely charged ions. Ex: salt, baking powder
