לאֹ יָכֹ֫לְתִּי לָרֶ֫דֶת מִן־הַהֵיכָֽל׃

לָ֫מָּה הוֹסַפְתֶּם לָצֵאת מֵהָעִ֑יר וַתֵּלְכוּ אֶל־הֶהִָרֽים׃

כִּי תִּשְׁמֹ֗ר אֶת־כָּל־הַמִּצְָו֥ה הַזּ֖אֹת לַעֲשׂתָ֔הּ אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִ֣י מְצַוְּךָ֣ הַיּ֔וֹם לְאַהֲבָ֣ה אֶת־יְהָו֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ וְלָלֶ֥כֶת בִּדְרָכָי֖ו כָּל־הַיָּמִ֑ים וְיָסַפְתָּ֗ לְךָ֥ עוֹ֖ד שָׁל֣שׁ עָרִ֔ים עַ֖ל הַשָּׁל֥שׁ הָאֵֽלֶּה׃
If you will be careful to fulfill this commandment, which I am commanding you today, to love Yahweh your god, and to walk in his ways forever, then you will add for yourself three more cities, in addition to these three.
יוֹרִישְׁךָ אֱלֹהֶ֥יךָ הַנּוֹרָ֖א אֶת־אַרְצָֽם׃
Your awesome god will cause you to possess their land.
וַיּ֫וֹשֶׁב הַמֶּ֫לֶךְ דָּוִ֔ד אֶת־אָבִיו וְאֶת־אִמּ֑וֹ בְּבֵית בְּנֽוֹ׃

אָנֹכִי יְהָו֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ אֲשֶׁר הוֹצֵאתִ֣יךָ מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם מִבֵּ֣ית עֲבָדִֽים׃

וַיִּהְי֣וּ יְמֵי אָדָ֗ם אַחֲרֵ֣י הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־שֵׁ֔ת שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃

וַיּ֣אֹמֶר מֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרַ֔יִם לַמְיַלְּדֹ֥ת הָעִבְרִיֹּ֑ת אֲשֶׁר שֵׁ֥ם הָאַחַ֖ת שִׁפְרָ֔ה וְשֵׁ֥ם הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית פּוּעָֽה׃
וַתִּירֶ֥אןָ הַמְיַלְּדֹ֭ת אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים וְל֣אֹ עָשׂ֔וּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֣ר אֲלֵיהֶ֗ן מֶ֥לֶךְ מִצְרַ֑יִם וַתְּחֶַיּ֖יןָ אֶת־הַיְלָדִֽים׃
The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, the name of the first ['the one'] of whom was
Shiphrah and of the second was Puah:
And/But the midwives revered God and didn't do as the
king of Egypt spoke to them; they let the (male) children live.
אָנֹכִ֣י הֶעֱלֵ֥יתִי אֶתְכֶ֖ם מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וָאוֹלֵ֥ךְ אֶתְכֶ֖ם בַּמִּדְבָּ֗ר אַרְבָּעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה לָרֶ֖שֶׁת אֶת־אֶ֥רֶץ הָאֱמִֹרֽי׃
It was I who brought you up from the land of Egypt, and I
led you in the wilderness for forty years, (in order for you) to inherit the land of the Amorites.
וַיִּיטַ֥ב הַדָּבָ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה וּבְעֵינֵ֣י כָל־עֲבָדָֽיו׃
The thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of all his servants.
וַיַּעֲזֹ֥ב דִָּו֖ד אֶת־צ֣אֹן אָבִ֑יו וַיִּסַּ֗ע לָגֶּ֣שֶׁת אֶל־הַפְּלִשְׁתִּֽי׃
David abandoned his father's sheep/goats, and he set out to approach the Philistine.
וַיִּקְרָ֥א אַבְרָהָ֖ם אֶת־שֶׁם־בְּנ֣וֹ הַנּוֹלָ֣ד ל֔וֹ אֲשֶׁר יֽלְדָ֥ה ל֖וֹ שָׂרָ֔ה יִצְחָֽק׃
Abraham called the name of his son who had been borne to him, whom Sarah had borne to him, Isaac.
וְהָָיָ֗ה אִם יֵיטִ֥יב הָעָ֖ם הַנּוֹשָׁ֣ב עַל־הָהָ֣ר הַה֔וּא לִשְׁמֹ֣ר אֶת־מִצְוֹ֥ת אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם וְהוִֹר֥יד יְהָו֖ה אֶת־הָעָם מִשָּׁ֔ם וְהוֹלִ֣יךְ אֹתָ֗ם אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ יָפָֽה׃
If the people who were settled on that mountain observe well the commandments of their god, Yahweh will bring the people down from there and lead them to a beautiful land.
אִם־אֵלֵ֥ךְ בְּ קֶ֥רֶב צָרָ֖ה תְּחַיֵּ֔נִי עַ֣ל אַ֣ף אֹיְבַ֖י תִּשְׁלַ֣ח יָדֶ֑ךָ וְתוֹשִׁיעֵ֣נִי יְמִינֶֽ ךָ׃
If I walk in the midst of trouble, you keep me alive; against the anger of my enemies,you send out your hand, and your right hand delivers me.
