East side- Water flows to the hudson bay or the gulf of mexico.
West side- The water flows into the pacific ocean.

How saturated the soil is.
The amount of rain.
The time it takes for the rain to fall.
The slope of the land.
The amount and type of vegetation.
Explain the process of deposition.
Rivers carry water to a lake or ocean, head water moves very fast. As they move they erode, gathers loose materials. When the rivers slow down and sediment gets dropped.
Why is monitoring deposition so important?
They moniter the quality and characteristics to know how much pollution and how it affects enviroment. Point source contamination.
What is pollution?
Pollution of ground water caused by human activity.
