Iron Deficiency Anemia
a form of anemia due to lack of iron in the diet or to iron loss as a result of chronic bleeding
lack of mature erythrocytes caused by inability to absorb vitamin B12 into the body
Sickle Cell Anemia
caused by inheriting defective recessive genes from both parents, more commonly occurs in African-Americans
condition in which fatty deposits called plaque build up on the inner walls of the arteries
a group of hereditary bleeding disorders in which there is a defect in clotting factors necessary for the coagulation of blood
a common disorder in which blood pressure remains abnormally high (a reading of 140/90 mm Hg or greater)
