Terms in this set (20)
What conditions will cause the AUTO LAND lights to illuminate when below 200' Radio Altimeter?
Excessive Deviation of the Localizer or Glideslope.
Failure of both AutoPilots.
Failure of LOCalizer transmitter or signal.
Failure of GlideSlope transmitter or signal.
Difference between both Radio Altimeters is greater than 15'.
FLIGHT CONTROL UNIT
On the Flight Control Unit, what does the EXPEDite pushbutton command?
Green Dot target speed in the climb.
MACH .80; 340 knots in the descent.
If you have selected the EXPEDite pushbutton, what do you have to do to get out of this mode when it is no longer desired?
Select another vertical mode.
ISIS & DDRMI
Is there a DDRMI on the Enhanced A320?
LANDING GEAR & BRAKES PANEL
The green down arrow symbol for the landing gear lights are powered through what unit?
When does the BRaKe Fan HOT light illuminate?
300 degrees C.
What is required for the BRaKe Fan to be on?
Fans are running if,
The Left main landing gear is down and locked.
The Brake Fan is selected on.
What does the Blue "On" light mean on the AUTO BRaKe pushbuttons?
The Auto Brake system is armed.
Explain the LOw, MEDium and MAX values on the AUTO BRaKe pushbuttons.
LOw: Deceleration rate to the brakes occurs 4 seconds after ground spoilers deploy.
MEDium: Deceleration rate to the brakes occurs 2 seconds after ground spoilers deploy.
MAX: Deceleration rate to the brakes are as soon as ground spoilers are deployed.
What does the Green "Decel" light indicate on the AUTO BRaKe pushbuttons?
The actual deceleration is 80% of the selected rate.
(Classic aircraft only)
The Anti/SKID & Nose Wheel Steering selector switch is On.
What happens when Green Hydraulic pressure is lost?
Yellow pressure automatically takes over to supply the brakes.
Anti-Skid remains available.
Nose Wheel Steering is lost.
The Triple indicator shows Yellow system brake pressure.
If the Anti/SKID & Nose Wheel Steering selector switch is turned off, what hydraulic source is available for braking?
The Yellow system supplies pressure to the brakes, [but without Anti-Skid protection.]
In regards to the Enhanced aircraft, would a complete failure of the Green Hydraulic System require a tow-in to the gate?
Since the Yellow System powers the Nose Wheel Steering, taxiing the aircraft with a total Green System failure is possible.
Describe Loss of Braking on the A320 Enhanced Aircraft.
Memory Items are the same.
The MAX Brake Pressure...........1,000 P.S.I.
[Pressing fully on the brakes will result in automatic modulation of the brake pressure to 1,000 p.s.i., so monitoring triple indicator is not required.]
What does the red down arrow represent in the LANDING GEAR LEVER?
Landing Gear is not down and locked when in the landing configuration.
Below 750' Radio Altimeter.
Which hydraulic system pressure is displayed on the triple indicator (ACCUmulator PRESSure & Brakes)?
Yellow system pressure for both the ACCUmulator PRESSure and for the Brakes.
