Quadratic Function

A function that can be written in the form f(x)=ax^2+bx+c, where a, b & c are real numbers and a is not equal to zero

Axis of Symmetry

The line that passes through the vertex and divides the parabola into two symmetric parts.

Vertex of a Parabola

The point at which the parabola intersects the axis of symmetry. Max or Min. x=-b/2a, the plug it into the equation

Vertex form of a Quadratic Function

A quadratic function in the form y=a(x-h)^2+k where a≠0. The vertex of the graph of the function is (h, k).
