Pressure
the force exerted by gas particles on each other and their containers. Usually exists as a "push" outwards. Ex. atm, Pa, mmHg, torr.
Volume
the space taken up by a substance. Usually measured in liters (L).
Temperature
a measurement of the vibrations in matter due to the average kinetic energy of atoms and molecules. Higher temperatures = greater vibrations = more kinetic energy.
Gas Constant
R, typically 0.0821 when using atmospheres, but changes depending on which measurement of pressure is used.
Boyle's Law
P₁V₁ = P₂V₂
