(This is a Korean vocabulary set). The Korean number system should be used for the number of items (1-99) and age. This set should be learned along with the "Sino (Korean) Numbers" set.
Most Asian counting systems are based on increments of 10,000 rather than 1,000. Example: the number 100,000 is represented by "10 ten-thousands" rather than "100 thousands".
The two systems, the Sino and the Korean counting systems, are different until the number 100 and all numbers greater are the same in both systems.
Korean is one of the languages I am learning through online and textbook practice without a teacher, so I encourage correction suggestions.
