Matrix of Oppression and Resistance:
a womb of oppression; no oppression is more severe than another, rather they are all connected (rejects "additive approach to oppression" and "oppression Olympics" - the competition in which people see who is more oppressed than the other); all types of oppression are interwoven and come from the same source
all systems are dependant on one another, how systems interconnect in people's lives
- not useful to think of competition but rather how categories of identity emerge from the same substance
- Situated knowledge- everyone has a perspective that deserves to be valued
