Operation
Something that is done to numbers, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing
Expression
A collection of numbers, operation signs, and symbols of inclusion that stands for a number
Variable
A letter that Represents a number. It represents the same number each time
Substitution
Replacing a variable with a constant
Exponent
In an expression requiring multiplication the constant or variable that tells how many bases to multiply together
Equation
A sentence which says that one expression is equal to another expression
Solution
A number that can be substituted for the variable in the sentence equal
Area
Is a measure of the "space" inside a figure

a constant number that serves as a measure of some property or characteristic

An expression that has no operation other than addition, subtraction, and multiplying by or of the variables
