Coaches Form Expectations
Three categories of information
Person cues such as SES, race, family background, gender, physical attractiveness, body size, dress, etc.
Performance information such as scores on physical skills tests, past performances, other coaches' comments, observation, etc.
Psychological characteristics such as coachability, role acceptance, self-discipline, maturity, etc.
Perceptual Flexibility/Inflexibility- early expectations developed by coaches that are flexible/inflexible
