Literature

Fiction
a made up story that could happen in real-life

contains events that actually happened; proven facts
Realistic Fiction
has a real-world setting, characters are like actual people (believable), the story is made up
Historical Fiction
blends events or settings from pasttime with fiction
Mystery
strange events happen; the main character looks for clues to solve problems

setting is in another world; may involve travel in time; animals/machines have human characteristics; humans have super powers

the story of a real person's life written by another person
