why was he Chaucer expert on human nature during the Middle Ages?
He had many jobs and traveled a lot, exposing him to many different people and occupations.
why was CT written in Olde English, not Latin? Why is this important for the times?
It was written in Old English because that was the Vernacular language of the time, making it easier for everyone to be able to read it.

Catholicism grew immensely during this time due to money from the commoners or "tithing", and their relationship with royalty.

wears a silk sash. is a social climber and steals money by tricking people. he gets people to trust him, then steals their money.

member of parliament. has a white beard and dagger. Likes food, and partying. is easy-going and hospitable

Doctor wearing extravagant clothing. Got his money from charging too much. Also good at astronomy. Keeps gold for good luck.

Nice clothes, lots of red, gap-toothed. married five times, good at sewing, independent. A non-traditional feminist.
parson
A religious man and clerk. simple looking. Follows God, wants what's best for everyone. A respectful leader. One of the few characters who is actually a good person.
plowman
A farmer who wears a short sleeved cape. A man of God, whole hearted and honest. Always pays his taxes. The other character who is a good man.
miller
wrestler and miller. Big boned, short and chunky, with a beard and big nostrils. very strong and makes a good wrestler but steals and sins.
manciple
A buyer/seller. Financially smart and stable, but cheats people into giving him money.
reeve
Estate manager. Slender and old. A "band" of hair. Everyone is afraid of him. Saves his money. He is lazy and dirty. His horses name is Scott.
summoner
Summons people to got to church. He has a skin disease, therefore, is covered with pimples and scaly skin. he rapes women, is a hypocrite, and steals. Worst character of the book.
pardoner
Pardons people from sin. Long hair, carries a bag, yellow hair and smooth face. He is gay. he enjoys singing. He lies to get money.
