Binomial
A mathematical expression consisting of terms connected by a plus or minus sign
Combining
the act of combining things to form a new whole
Example:
Exponent
a mathematical notation indicating the number of times a quantity is multiplied by itself

Expression
a group of symbols that make a mathematical statement
Like Terms
Expressions that contain the same variables to the same power
Example: 6y + 3x + 5y - 2x = 11y +x
Linear Equations
an equation in which the variable or variables are all to the first power and none multiply each other
Monomial

Polynomial
An algebraic expression consiting of one or more summed terms, each term of a constant multiplier and one or more variables raised to integral powers
Simplify
