PLAY
Binomial
A mathematical expression consisting of terms connected by a plus or minus sign
Combining
the act of combining things to form a new whole
Example:
Exponent
a mathematical notation indicating the number of times a quantity is multiplied by itself

Expression
a group of symbols that make a mathematical statement
Like Terms
Expressions that contain the same variables to the same power
Example: 6y + 3x + 5y - 2x = 11y +x
Linear Equations
an equation in which the variable or variables are all to the first power and none multiply each other
Monomial
.a number, a variable, or a product of a number and one or more variables
Polynomial
An algebraic expression consiting of one or more summed terms, each term of a constant multiplier and one or more variables raised to integral powers
Simplify
make simpler or easier or reduce in complxity or extent
Term
any distinct quantity contained in a polynomial

Variable
a symbol (like x or y) that is used in mathematical or logical expressions to represent a variable quantity
