Why were soviets good?

Citizens could call on their soviet at any time to participate in govt
Why did the Bolshevik govt have economic troubles?
Because they stopped Russia's participation in the war so quickly
(A lot of industries relied on war)
How did the poor economy affect way of life?
Poor economy=unemployment=poor=no insentive for farmers to make excess crops=starvation=people going back to village life=day to day survival=no precipitation in govt=Bolsheviks needing strong govt control
