This list includes the states and their capitals as well as the states abbreviation.
key notes:
1. any term that has (state) is asking for the state of that term
EXAMPLE: AL (state) is Alabama (abb.)
2. (abb.) asks for the abbreviation of the state
EXAMPLE: Arizona (abb.) is AZ (state)
3. (state abb.) is only asked with the capital so all you need to do is give the abbreviation for that capitals state.
