Quizlet: Why did you decide to work at Quizlet?

Right before joining, I asked my personal trainer if she's heard of Quizlet, and she said, “Yes! I love Quizlet, it helped me pass my PT certification exam!!" After a few more of these conversations with different people, it was easy to see the impact Quizlet had on their lives. One said, "Quizlet is one of those rare gems of the internet," and after joining, I whole heartedly agree.

Q: What was your favorite subject in high school?

It's a tie between Anatomy & Physiology and British Literature. I loved Anatomy because it was exciting to learn about your body, where we are now with research, and what the potentials are for the future. British Literature was also a favorite because I got to read, discuss, and analyze all the great books and poems of the past, it gave me an appreciation for great writing.

Q: Who was your most memorable teacher and why?

Mrs. Buckley from my Anatomy & Physiology class. She was tough, enthusiastic, and super energetic about biology and anatomy. I think her love for the subject was infectious and it engaged me to push myself and learn as much as I can beyond what was required in class.

Q: What's the most useful thing you've ever learned?

I think the most useful thing I learned is how to memorize large amounts of information in a short time — it certainly saved me in college! I started memorizing Chinese verses since I was three years old for Chinese school, we use to get tested on how well we can recite them in front of the teacher every class, and I'm super glad all that practice didn't go to waste!

Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would you learn?

How to be a Jeopardy champion! I would feel so cool. 😎

Q: What do you like best about working at Quizlet?

Definitely the people and organized code base. Everyone is super considerate and puts a lot of effort in making Quizlet not only a warm and friendly environment, but a highly functional and organized place too! They make it easy to navigate and they support you from all around.
