Quizlet: Why did you decide to work at Quizlet?
Amalia: I decided to work at Quizlet because of the amazing product, the amazing team, and the amazing goals this team has for their product. Quizlet makes learning interactive and fun, as well as extremely accessible, and the people behind the scenes never stop seeking to improve it for their users. It is exciting and rewarding to be part of a team that is so positively changing the face of education.
Q: What was your most rewarding learning experience?
A: One of my most rewarding learning experiences was living in Greece for study abroad - taking in as much as I could about a culture very different from my own, from architecture and traditions, to modern day attitudes and (delicious) street food. I also took classes in modern Greek language - much of which I've forgotten, but am re-learning with the help of Quizlet!
Q: What was your favorite subject in high school?
A: My favorite subjects in high school were English and Journalism. My senior year I was Art Editor of our school's paper, and I got to spend hours editing photos, drawing illustrations, and learning the ins and outs of Photoshop and InDesign.
Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would you learn?
A: If I could learn anything right now, it would be how to play the drums. It would be such a great way to creatively express any sort of emotion, from joy to anger, as well as provide stress relief. (I'm sure my neighbors would just looove it too.)
