The EMF induced when a conductor moves through a magnetic field. Depends on speed of wire, strength of magnetic field, and length of wire.
Magnetic Flux when magnetic field is perpendicular to surface

Alternating Current Generator Mechanism
Coil of wire rotates in the magnetic field due to an external force, the flux linkage of the coil changes with time and induces an emf causing current to flow.

Unwanted currents induced in the iron core
A two-terminal electrical device that has negligible resistance in one direction and infinite resistance in the other.
Device that limits pulsating
A device that stores charge. Charge stored is proportional to the pd across the capacitor and the constant of proportionality is capacitance. C = q/V
Unit that measures capacitance. 1 F = 1 CV^-1
Capacitors in series
1/C(total) = 1/C + 1/C + 1/C
Capacitors in parallel
C(total) = C + C + C
Exponential decrease in charge stored in capacitor
