Changing your account settings on iOS

It's easy to manage your account settings from the Quizlet iOS app. Tap Settings at the bottom of your app to get started!

From your Settings screen, you can change your profile picture, email address, username and password, and adjust push notifications. Please note that users under age 13 will not see the option to change their email address or add their own profile picture — and that you can only change your username once. 

Changing your profile picture

To change your profile picture, tap Profile picture . Quizlet users 13 and older can upload a picture saved to their iOS device, take a picture or choose from one of 50 animal avatars. Quizlet users under age 13 cannot upload or take images, but can choose an animal. Upgraded Quizlet Plus users of any age will see 100 animals to choose from. 

Changing your email address

To change the email address associated with your account, tap Email. Enter your Quizlet password to make changes to your account and tap OK. Enter your new email address and tap Save to update your account. 

Quizlet will send a confirmation email to the new email address. Check your inbox to confirm your new email and finalize this update. 

If you're a parent who needs to update your child's parent email address, please write to us with your child's Quizlet username, current account email address and new parent email. 

Changing your username

To change your username, tap Username. Tap Continue and acknowledge that you can only change your username once. Enter your Quizlet password and then tap OK. Enter your new username and tap Save.

If you've changed your username before, you won't be able to change it again. However, you can revert back to your original username from your Settings page on the Quizlet website. 

Changing your password

To change your password, tap Change password . Enter your current password and new password, then retype your new password and tap Save to update. 

Updating your notification preferences

To receive study reminders on your phone, tap Push notifications.To turn notifications on or off, tap Notifications. You can set the time you want to receive notifications to study in Learn (and Long-Term Learning if you're upgraded to Quizlet Plus) in the Study reminder time section. 

Deleting your account

To delete your account, you'll need to log in to the Quizlet website and go to your Settings page. Please note that you can only delete your account from the Quizlet website, not from our mobile apps. Logging out or deleting the app will not delete your account —​ or trigger a refund if you purchased an upgrade.
