(a)Compare Antigone's demeanor in Scene 4 with her attitude in previous scenes. How has she changed? (b) Does her transformation seem believable to you?
Part (a) In the previous scenes, Antigone’s attitude was strong and feisty. She saw the noble endeavor (burying her brother’s corpse) that she was fighting for and was not even afraid of her own death.
However, in Scene 4, we see Antigone in despair, sad, mourning the fate of death that was approaching her. She appealed to the chorus to be pitied by the people of Thebes.
