VerifiedAs we know that direction of the velocity from the position-versus-time graph would be determined using the value of the slope. Without calculating we can see from the graph that if the angle of the slope with the positive x-axis is between 0 to 90 it is positive. For the angle of the slope with the positive x-axis between 90 to 180 it is negative and if the angle is zero then the slope is zero. Now the slope of the graph is velocity, so the value of the slope is corresponding to the value of the slope. For point C it is lying on the line which makes an angle 0 to 90 with the positive x-axis, hence velocity is positive.
