Some of the careers in psychology are a crisis hot line adviser, a mental health assistant and a consulting psychologist. They require different educational requirements and also different responsibilities. A crisis hot line adviser can be a high school student who completes a training program but involves a lot of stress since this person has to work with people whose life might be in danger. A person who is a mental health assistant needs a degree. He or she has to work under supervision but can help with interviewing people and administrating tests. If the person wants to work as a consulting psychologist, he or she is required to have a Ph.D. However, he or she usually works temporary jobs and deals with, for example, maximizing the potential of employees.
