Physical change:

It is a means of changing the physical properties of a substance without changing or altering its identity. It is a change occurred to matter to another form of matter without tampering with its chemical properties.

Example: Crushing the plastic bottle after use. It changes the shape of the plastic bottle but does not change its plasticity.

Chemical change:

It is a means of completely changing or transforming a substance to another substance which do not have the same identity or properties.

Example: dissolving the antacids (effervescent tablets) in water. It produces bubbles of carbon dioxide because of the presence of citric acid and baking soda in them. The properties of citric acid and baking soda compared to carbon dioxide is very different.
