Step 1
1 of 4

Consider the sequence an=n1n+1a_n= \dfrac{ n-1}{ n+1}.

if we replace nn by n+1n+1, we obtain the sequence an+1a_{n+1}

an+1=(n+1)1(n+1)+1=nn+2a_{n+1}=\dfrac{ (n+1)-1}{ (n+1)+1}= \dfrac{ n}{ n+2}
