Terminal end moraines are glacial debris accumulated as they are pushed forward. It forms as the ice melts close the ridge of the glacier at a rate equal to the forward movement of the glacier from its region of nourishment of snowfall. Conversely, the recessional end moraines are produced when the ice front settles down during its retreat. The retreat happens as the ice melts quickly than the snowfall can nourish the glaciers once again. Ground moraine is the term used for the ice front that recedes. resulting in the irregular layers of till deposits underneath a glacier.
