Evaluating
Write a myth that reflects the changes that the development of agriculture brought to the earliest Americans.
Consider:
-
Iife before the development of agriculture
-
life after the development of agriculture
Solution
VerifiedOur ancestors came into this land because they followed the great spirits who led them here to settle. The great spirits took the shapes of large animals and made our people follow them until they found the perfect parts of the land they could settle permanently. When they did, the spirits found their mission completed and disappeared, leaving our ancestors here. Because the spirits are so wise, they led us to the most fertile lands, allowing us to grow enough foods for all of us, without needing to search for new settlements. The spirits left the secrets of farming with those who were worthy, which allowed them to grow enough food for the large settlements we have today.
