Question

How can human activity lead to air and water pollution?

Solution

Verified

The automobiles and manufacturing factories emit various chemicals into the atmosphere and leads to smog and acid rain. These particulates in the air get mixed with water vapor and start to form clouds that block solar energy from coming in and also stopping it from escaping back to space. This raises the overall temperature and can effect the global ecosystem. The precipitation that eventually falls that contain high levels of acidic chemicals destroys farmland crops and forests. They also begin to degrade many rock and metal structures. This acid rain also mixes into the soil and adds to our groundwater and surface water raising the pH level of the water that begins to kill marine and bird life. If you add the direct waste water being added to the fresh water system then this is really a negative impact on our hydrosphere.
