Question
How did the Cold War originate? How did it play out geographically?
Solution
VerifiedStep 1
1 of 2The Cold War originated in the ashes of war torn Europe after WWII. The United States and the Soviet Union strongly disagreed on governmental policy and structure as the Soviets wanted communism and the U.S. did not. Geographically the Cold War took place all over the world. In Asia there were actual wars fought between Communists and anti-communists, but in reality the battlefield for this war was all around the world. Communism was spreading like wildfire in some countries and the U.S. was trying to put out those fires as quickly as they could.
