Normative economics is based on value judgments and it studies what it should be. Normative economics is often used by politicians. They use value judgments from normative economics to explain to the people what is their consideration of "ideal economy" of country. But, it could happen that politicians use value judgements and make their "ideal economy" unrealistic and unattainable. Also, they may give empty promises to the people.
