The number of electors of each state in the Electoral College depends on its population. Namely, the number of electors for each state is determined by the number of members in its Congressional delegation, which consists of the number of representatives in the House of Representatives plus the number of senators. Since each state has an equal number of senators (two), the number of electors of each state in the Electoral College depends on how many members that state has in the House of Representatives (proportional to the population). So, for example, if a state has ten representatives and two senators, it would have twelve electors in the Electoral College.
