Normal distribution (which is the same as the bell curve) entails that the highest frequency is usually around the average grade (which is about a B or C+) with less frequency for both higher grades (B+, A-, etc.) and lower grades (C-, D, etc..). This is NOT the case in this question as 80% of the students scored A & B (higher than average grades) so we can eliminate choices (a) and (d).
