Let's imagine the given situation. We have a rod and start to shake it. After a certain time, the rod will oscillate in the same interval, therefore the oscillation will be regular.
If we change the speed of the input oscillating force, the oscillation will change. The greater speed means more crests and troughs which, on the other hand, means a smaller wavelength and period of the oscillations.
Since a frequency is proportional to the velocity, also the frequency increases.
