Between nitrogen, oxygen and fluorine we need to indicate which element has the smallest atomic size. The size of an atom increases going from top to bottom in a group, and it decreases going from left to right in a period. All these elements are in the second period. Nitrogen is in group 5, oxygen is in group 6 and fluorine is in group 7. Therefore the element with the smallest atomic size is Fluorine (F).
