VerifiedYes, criminal justice system is a public good for numerous reasons. First of all, criminal justice and any other justice cannot be left for the markets to regulate, because only state has the right to enforce its law upon citizens. States has reserved that right, has an exclusive right to arrest, punish, put to trial individuals or companies who break the law. Second, criminal justice system exist to protect us all, there is no choice fo we want protection or not in regard to that. Third, justice system is being financed by the government. Fourth, some of us may never have contact with justice system, even though we are paying for it, but it will be provided to the ones that need it.
