The molecules in liquid lose energy in terms of heat and because of that, the temperature of alcohol decreases. Since alcohol is in contact with skin that has a higher temperature, it absorbs heat from it. We must determine how much heat is absorbed if 2.25 g of isopropyl alcohol evaporates. We also know that the heat of vaporization for isopropyl alcohol is 42.1 kJ/mol.
