Adopting developed-country technology is one way for less-developed countries to catch up with the growth of more-developed countries. However, in comparison to developing countries, developed countries are capital-rich and labor-short. Consider the types of technology that a typical developing country with limited capital and a large unemployed labour force would encounter when "shopping" for technology in a more developed country.
