Sometimes the body temperature varies from the normal values. In some cases, that can help the body\textit{help the body}(fever helps to fight the pathogens), but sometimes can be life-threatening(heat stroke)\textit{life-threatening(heat stroke)}.

Fever\textbf{Fever} is a high body temperature associated with inflammation\textit{inflammation}. It is most common in infectious diseases but can be found in other conditions(e.g. lymphoma, injury).

In a fever, chemicals called pyrogens\textbf{pyrogens} act on the hypothalamus\textit{the hypothalamus}. The normal body temperature values are set higher, and the affected person will feel chills\textit{chills} as the body heats up.

Fever can be useful in fighting pathogens as it helps and strengthens the immune system and weakens the pathogen.
