Oxytocin works in certain reproductive processes (facilitating breastfeeding, stimulates uterine smooth muscle contraction, etc.) while vasopressin works in the regulation of water and solute concentrations for its effects of water conservation on the kidneys referred to as antidiuretic hormone.
