In order to solve this problem we are going to employ the definition of the critical angle. It says that

sinθc=n2n1\sin\theta_c=\frac{n_2}{n_1}

and it gives that

θc=arcsinn2n1\theta_c=\arcsin{\frac{n_2}{n_1}}

a) In the case of diamond surrounded by water we have that

θc=arcsinn2n1=arcsin1.3332.419\theta_c=\arcsin{\frac{n_2}{n_1}}=\arcsin{\frac{1.333}{2.419}}

θc=33.4\theta_c=33.4^\circ

b) In the case of flint glass surrounded by water we have that

θc=arcsinn2n1=arcsin1.3331.66\theta_c=\arcsin{\frac{n_2}{n_1}}=\arcsin{\frac{1.333}{1.66}}

θc=53.4\theta_c=53.4^\circ

c) In the case of ice surrounded by water we have that n2>n1n_2>n_1 so there is no critical angle.
