Solutions
VerifiedA persuasive argument King posits in his letter is one of the necessity of his nonviolent protests as the best way to channel the frustration and angst of the discriminated black people. King uses historical evidence to show that in multiple cases in history, in time oppressed people lost their patience in submitting to the oppressor and, in most cases, aggressively lashed at the oppressor. King says that his method is the best one for channeling this energy of the oppressed, the best and most moral way of showing and changing societal faults.
In response to his demonstrations being called "untimely," King argues that the city would not act without being pressured to and that, to a group that is not suffering, there is never a good time to demand action. The end of his counterargument is marked by a powerful aphorism, "justic too long delayed is justice denied."
