In order to be able to enumerate the words which contain a certain root, suffix or prefix, one has to be familiar with the notion of roots and affixes. Namely, the root is the main part of the word ( which is usually of Latin / Greek origin and which carries the word's basic meaning). On the other hand, affixes are divided into prefixes and suffixes. Prefixes are added before while suffixes are added after the root. With the adding of each new prefix / suffix, the word may obtain a completely different meaning.
