What are the three parts of an emotion?
Solution
VerifiedThe three parts of an emotion are cognitive, behavioral, and physical parts.
The refer to our own explanations about a certain situation or certain circumstances. The way we interpret things around us has an influence on our emotional response to it. So, for example, if someone says something mean to us, we will interpret that this person is mean and offends us and it will trigger an emotional response which may be sadness, anger or something else.
Next, parts of our emotions are the visible, behavioral expressions of our emotional states. For example, if we are sad, our facial expression, body language, the melody of our voice and possibly tears will give us away.
Finally, refer to the way our emotions affect our bodies and their arousal. This arousal has an influence on the way our bodies act in answer to it. For example, when we are frightened, our bodies are very much aroused and our sympathetic nervous system activates and makes us ready for action.
